The short version: we don't collect your data. Any of it.
What we collect
Nothing. Takeout Budget has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics trackers, and no servers of ours that receive your information. Your budget — income, bills, expenses, savings history — is stored only on your device, in the app's local storage.
What leaves your device
Nothing is transmitted to us. The free app does not send your location, photos, or budget numbers to Takeout Budget or to any third-party service for processing.
- Optional bill reminders: if you turn reminders on, this device's notification system may wake the app to show a local alert. Those alerts stay on your phone; we do not receive them.
- Fonts (web / PWA builds only): the web app loads a font file from this same site. Your budget is not sent.
If a later update adds an optional feature that contacts a third party, this policy will be updated first, and that feature will be opt-in.
Backups
The Export button creates a file on your device. Where you keep or send that file is up to you. We never receive a copy.
Payments
This free version has no in-app purchases. If you later buy Premium through an app store, the store processes the payment. We receive no card details.
Children
Takeout Budget is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone. It is intended for adults managing household money (18+).
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the change will be visible on this page before it takes effect. Any future feature that would send your data off your device will be opt-in and explained in plain language first.
